Certificate III in Security Operations

(Security Supervisor Training - Australia wide)

General Overview

The CPPSEC30407 Certificate III in Security Operations is designed to further develop operational or supervisory skills for those in the security industry.

Successful completion of the Certificate III in Security Operations may lead to employment supervising, and Managing a small team.

Whilst part of the programme is conducted at Integracom's state of the art training facility in Burswood, Perth, WA, this course is unique in that we utilise various training locations in and around the Perth metropolitan area.

Our Training Rooms

We also train officers in the use of quick deployment alarm systems and CCTV in a practical real world environment.

Our training programmes, using advanced technology combined with relevant practical experience, teach our students to recognise potential threats and equip them, if necessary, to manage or supervise a team responding to a security risk situation.

Students will receive face-to-face trainer led theory classes, and practical sessions involving small groups and individual activities. Our aim at The Australian School of Security and Investigations is to train highly motivated and professional security officers to a standard, which far exceeds requirements.

You will be required to successfully complete 8 core and 4 Elective units from the list below as part of your training.

The elective units are selected on the type of environment you will be employed within.

  3. CPPSEC3001A Maintain workplace safety in the security industry
  4. CPPSEC3002A Manage conflict through negotiation
  5. CPPSEC3003A Determine response to security risk situation
  6. CPPSEC3005A Prepare and present security documentation and reports
  7. CPPSEC3006A Coordinate a quality security service to customers
  8. CPPSEC3007A Maintain security of environment

Electives

  1. CPPSEC2011A Control access to and exit from premises (Required for bodyguard)
  2. CPPSEC2012A Monitor and control individual and crowd behavior (Required for Bodyguard)
  3. CPPSEC3017A Plan and conduct evacuation of premises (Required for bodyguard)
  4. CPPSEC3012A Store and protect information (Not required for bodyguard but available)
  5. CPPSEC3018A Provide for safety of persons at risk (Required for bodyguard)
  6. CPPSEC3004A Lead small teams in the security industry
  7. CPPSEC3013 Control persons using empty hand techniques (Required for bodyguard)
  8. CPPSEC3018A Provide for the safety of persons at risk (Required for bodyguard)
  9. CPPSEC3014A Control persons using baton (This unit is delivered separately)
  10. CPPSEC3015A Restrain persons using handcuffs (This unit is delivered with the above unit)
  11. CPPSEC3016A Defend persons using spray (This unit is delivered separately)
